Disconnect Rogers Internet, Rogers TV, Rogers Wireless - BEWARE their hidden CRIMES!!!!

There is something SERIOUSLY wrong with this company!!!!!

After 90 minutes on the phone with simpletons without a clue to call their own, I was told that they simply do not know where over $200 in charges came from on my bill!

But.. they would be glad to print out copies of the last years of bills for me, and were mailing them out immediately for me. Oh... and they will only charge me half-price for each bill... so $4 instead of the normal (criminal) $8.

Well - it has not been just over two-weeks and I have not received the bills, that I imagine I was billed for on the next bill!

Then I caught some slimey little worm, sneaking onto my porch... (literally... stepping lightly on the steps and looking around like he was going to steal something) when I whipped open the door - it was a representative of Rogers Communications (figures... slimey thief sneaking on porch representing a SNEAKY SLIMEY CRIMINAL COMPANY like ROGERS COMMUNICATIONS.)

Behold - a disconnect notice! Meant of course to be handed to the customer, not snuck onto the door handle and run!

So.. mad as hell I was! I called the service number they had on the form. Guess what, it was a number not available from my calling area! GOOD GRIEF! Is this company for real - do they have ANY clue what they are doing... does their right hand have a clue WHERE the left hand is?

Is there a SINGLE person in that organization (Rogers Communications, Rogers Internet, Rogers TV, Rogers Wireless) that has any consideration for the CUSTOMER??!??!??!?!?

I then called the normal Rogers number, from their web site. It was time to escalate this problem, because I have simply had enough of this run around and lies! I wanted to number for the Office of the President of Rogers Communications.

Now get THIS ---> She told me she cannot give me that number. As the steam poured from my ears, I told her simply, and politely (proud of myself for not losing it on her) told her to put me thru to someone who could.

tick tick tick tick tick tock tock tock tock...

34 minutes.... (yes, thirty-four minutes) later, I gave up and hung up!

I have now submitted a request for a call from the Office of the president, through their web site - THAT was hard as hoots to find let me tell you!

I will keep you informed. Although I will be switching Internet providers and seeking others in the same position to start a class-action suit against Rogers Communications.

Time to slap their wrists! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!!!

Will blog again when (if) I should hear from them - it will be interesting to see what kind of clueless moron they have in the position of escalated issues! Can't wait!

Cable TV Ads - A pack of lies.

I seen another cable tv (stop the tv tax) commercial last night.

What a crock of crap! They say 'The CRTC wants to tax.....' What a LIE! An outright bold, in-yer-face LIE!

I hope that Canadians can see through their lies. It is NOT the CRTC that wants us to pay a tax. The CRTC wants the cable providers to pay for the content they sell to us at enormous outrageous prices.

Sure, I disagree with the CRTC only because no government body should be permitted to regulate what a business should pay for their product. That, however is not the point.

If the CRTC insists on this increase in costs (for the provider) it should NOT be shoveled onto the consumer. Any attempt to lay this additional cost on US should be resisted to the point of telling these giant money-hungry, criminal organizations to take their service and STUFF IT!

How many more increases are we going to accept in this industry? How many billions in profit are enough for these faceless, service-lacking criminals? What is the point that the consumer will be fed up with it to the point of canceling the service and making them hear our voice.

If we hit them in the pocket-book, they will listen! As long as we stay the stupid sheep we have always been to these companies, we will continue to be screwed and taken advantage of.

Are you a stupid sheep - following the TV provider shepherd wherever and at whatever cost they choose? How long will we continue to pay for this useless CRTC organization.

How many times does the hamburger hostess need to screw up before we FIRE her?

If you ask me, us Canadians are wimps - we will sit back and whine about our situation and swear we will do something. The truth is we never do anything - we let our 'leaders' take what they want, when they want and do nothing more than whine about it!

Don't be a sheep! Have the courage to go without 700 channels of CRAP to make a point.

'I will NOT be taken advantage of.... I will NOT accept this final straw... Rogers, Bell, take your cable service and blow it out your cake-hole!

Enough is enough....!

Baaa.. Baaaa.. Baaaa Canadian sheep have you any courage?

BELL Canada's Deceit of Shareholders and CRTC fails again!

Besides a completely useless organization, what is the CRTC and what value are you getting from them for your tax-dollars.

Their web site:
http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/backgrnd/brochures/b29903.htm

Mandate
The CRTC’s mandate is to ensure that both the broadcasting and telecommunications systems serve the Canadian public. The CRTC uses the objectives in the Broadcasting Act and the Telecommunications Act to guide its policy decisions.

'Serve the Canadian Public' - They've failed in the first sentence of their mandate.

An organization of any size should not have the power to raise fees to the consumer because they have been mandated to share a portion of the their billion-dollar profit with the providers of the content they sell.

One of the 'packages' you MUST choose (with any of our TV providers) is the basic package. With Rogers the cost is around $35/month. This basic package consists of your basic local television stations.

I already pay too much for this 'package' (of which I rarely watch any of those channels).  The CRTC believes the cable providers should pay a higher price to these stations. I don't see how that is any of the CRTC's concern. If a business is not viable - it fails - out of business, done. Thats the way business works. If you cannot turn a profit, you really shouldn't BE in business. Pretty simple. But that is not the point here.

The CRTC tells the big-guy cable provider that they must carry some of the burden of these 'local' tv companies. Ok. They are allowed to do that, whether they should be or not - they can.

What they CANNOT or at least based on their published mandate, they cannot allow the big companies to add more to the consumer's bill to cover this CRTC 'tax'. If they allow it to be 'billed' to the consumer they have failed to do their job and should be replaced!

If a hamburger hostess repeatedly fails to serve the tables in the employers restaurant, they WILL be fired.

How is it this organization can fail over and over to DO THEIR JOB - yet we (their employer) continue to allow them to keep their job?

I submit its time to FIRE THE CRTC and replace them with that hamburger hostess, her salary would be cheaper than the MILLIONS we pay to the CRTC for the same failure in service. And job performance seems to be equal.

Now... I am starting to get off the real topic of this blog. The cable companies have gotten out of hand with their costs, their lack of customer service, their outright theft from the customers.

Yes, THEFT!

Have you looked at your Rogers bill recently? Not only are the prices to high, the layout of the bill is MEANT TO CONFUSE YOU.

Have you hooked up a new Bell Canada Telephone account recently? Do you realize that Bell pads its ExpressVu business (TV) with money from it's Telephone business?

Yes, when you connect a telephone service, there is a charge on there from ExpressVu. Around $100.00 --> Don't worry though, because Bell will credit your Telephone account in the amount of that debit. So the money does not come from you. As a matter of fact that money doesn't even exist. Except on the income account of the ExpressVu company.

How is that legal? Is that legal?

If I have 2 companies, and for every customer I get in one company, I add a service charge that is a mythical payment to my other company and then credit the customer that amount. I am creating a loss for one company and an income for the other. Yet no money has changed hands and the charge (income) serves no purpose but to lie to the Bell Canada shareholders about the income for both of those divisions.

What makes this MY concern? Why should it concern either of us, I mean besides the obvious criminal activity of an organization governed by our tax dollars (the CRTC).

When signing up for a new Bell telephone account - the sales person will tell you: We will give you a $100 credit on your first bill... WOW the consumer says, thats great!

Then comes the bill - the credit is eaten up by the fake debit to their other company and serves NO real purpose on the account other than to the benefit of the two Bell Canada companies.

No one person at Bell Canada (Telephone) can explain this debit/credit manipulation. NO ONE. When pushed on the matter they tell you to speak to a different department.

Where is the CRTC, for that matter where is the Canada Revenue Agency and RCMP - this is criminal activity. Why has no one noticed, why do us Canadians do NOTHING about the criminal activity of such large companies?

The same sort of criminal activity can be seen in the way Rogers does their billing and credits. I do not have time to get into that right now. I will scan the bills to back up the above statement and show you where Rogers does a similar act in one of my next blog posts.

Leave me your comment here --- together we CAN do something! I mean there MUST be something we can do!

Cable TV Tax? Are you kidding me?

Where do I start with the cable tv tax?

There is something wrong in the entire industry. As bold a statement as that may be, thats the only thing I can read into it.

Let's explore a little about what Canadians deal with in our communications needs.

Everyone (pretty-much) needs: Home Phone, Internet, Television, in most cases wireless service.

At Rogers TV you'll pay between $120 and $500 per month for that service
At Bell Canada, ExpressVu service providers you're looking at basically the same price

What are you paying for?

CableTV: 8 minutes of programming, then 4 - 10 minutes of advertisements (which have a louder volume than the program.... by design)

In order to get the basic Television channels 9 out of 10 of us want, we have to order 6 - 8 different 'packages'.

First, why do I ahve to watch ads, I pay for this service to be brought to my home.

Where do they get off wanting another $10 a month..?

The 3 different groups involved here have the right idea (if their goal is to rob you and I of more money each month) :: What I mean is... they are tripping over each other (or give off that illusion) trying to blame this $10 increase on the others -

This is a SMOKE SCREEN -- to keep you confused as to where and who this tax is all about! DO NOT FALL for this smack in your face. YOU are not stupid enough NOT TO SEE that this 'fight' means NOTHING will win you NOTHING - they are using it to keep us confused, to bring in a new charge that no one clearly understands, and that no one wants to pay!

A fee that will benefit BIG business and screw the normal joe!

The plain and simple fact of the new Cable TV tax is ::: We already pay WAY too much for some of the WORST service in the business of consumer products period.

Are YOU going to sit on YOUR hands and let them screw you AGAIN..? I hope not.. I know I do not want to.

Comment here... lets find an action plan.. lets see if we can get SOMEONE to look at this industry, someone to PROTECT the interest of the 'little' guy!

My next post with show you how Rogers uses its monthly bills to keep their customers confused, allowing them to overbill, double bill and outright STEAL from their customers.

I will be scanning the bills to prove it and including the contact information of the account who has confirmed criminal activity.

PLEASE... comment, let me know there are people of like minds - let's bring these BIG companies down to size, teach them a lesson they have needed since Ted Rogers bought out all the little companies and crowned himself the Cable King.

It is HIGH TIME we did SOMETHING to stop these companies.

CRTC As guilty as the Networks and Cable companies

The lies go well beyond the cable companies.

The CRTC is in direct violation of it's original mandate.

They are certainly not representing the best interests of anyone I know. From their history it would appear it is the big cable and communication providers that they favor.

Canadians, although historically the biggest pushovers in North America - NEED to take ACTION!!

We have put up with this abuse and insanity long enough.. Lets talk - what can we do, how can we do it?
